Armor winter covers have the durability and strength that will endure
for years. The tough no-rip polyethylnene is UV protected to last
for years in direct sunlight. Strong, UV protected thread and rugged
tie-down loops and water bag loops mean that our covers can stand
up to winter's worst. Black underside retards algae growth.
The strength of a winter cover determined by the weight, or "denier", of the individual strands. Arctic Armor strands are 50% stronger than imported covers.
Tough polypropylene thread will not rot like cotton thread, and sewn seams are stronger and will not split apart like the cheaper heat-sealed seams. Rugged tie-down loops are used instead of grommets that can rust and fall out.
Arctic Armor covers are constructed of an extremely tight weave fabric that does not allow light to pass through. Without sunlight, algae cannot grow!
We do not skimp on fabric! Arctic Armor above-ground covers use an extra foot of material-another reason why they are a great value! A 4-ft. overlap provides a better fit, especially on pools with extra wide top-rails. This extra fabric also takes up some of the slack during windy weather, helping to prevent excessive wear and tear.
